Who We Are

Improving health, restoring dignity and advancing inclusion.

Who we are is defined not only by the work we do, but also by the principles that guide how we work. RedAid Nigeria is committed to dignity, equality, inclusion, safeguarding, accountability and respect for the rights of every person. Our institutional policies translate these commitments into standards for our staff, partners, volunteers and programmes. They guide our conduct, protect the people and communities we serve, and ensure that our interventions are delivered responsibly, safely and without discrimination.

Vision Statement

Our vision is a world in which no one suffers from diseases of exclusion such as Buruli ulcer, leprosy, tuberculosis, and other diseases of poverty and their consequences such as disability and mental health challenges.

Mission Statement

To provide integrated health services to indigent people affected by diseases of exclusion and other diseases associated with poverty and their consequences such as disability and mental health challenges.

RedAid Nigeria’s Gender Policy provides a framework for promoting gender equality and equity across the organisation’s programmes, workplace practices and partnerships. It guides gender-sensitive project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, while supporting equal participation, dignity and access to health services for women, men, girls and boys.

At RedAid Nigeria, we are committed to protecting children from violence, abuse and exploitation across our development and humanitarian programmes. Our Child Protection Policy sets mandatory standards for all staff, partners and volunteers to uphold children’s rights, dignity and safety.

We maintain zero tolerance for child abuse. The policy guides safe interactions between adults and children, including a “no closed-door” rule, and establishes clear, confidential procedures for reporting and investigating concerns. These standards help us create an environment where every child is respected and protected.

RedAid Nigeria’s Safeguarding Policy reflects our commitment to protecting the dignity, rights and wellbeing of everyone involved in our work. It establishes zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment and discrimination, with clear standards of conduct for staff, partners, suppliers and service providers. The policy outlines confidential reporting channels, adopts a victim/survivor-centred approach to handling concerns, and specifies disciplinary action for violations. It also reinforces the protection of children and our responsibility to ensure that our programmes and workplace remain safe, respectful and accountable to the people and communities we serve.
